Professor Olivier Oullier is a neuroscientist and a DJ. He is the President of EMOTIV, the global leader in portable neurotechnologies, and a Professor of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at Aix-Marseille University. Prior to joining EMOTIV, Olivier has held distinguished positions as Global Head of Strategy in Health and Healthcare and Member of the Executive Committee of the World Economic Forum, and Director of the Neuroscience and Public Policy Program at the Center for Strategic Analyses of the Prime Minister of France. He has (co-)authored more than 250 scientific, medical, business and mainstream publications. Building on his experience in academia, policy making and business, he has been advising public and private organizations globally for more than 20 years. He currently sits on the board of several tech companies in genomics, brain health, human performance and fashion. Olivier is a regular columnist in Fortune (USA), The National (UAE) and Les Echos (France) as well as a healthcare expert at the Wall Street Journal (USA). The World Economic Forum named him a Young Global Leader. In 2018, he received the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Award in China, and the Pvblic Foundation Media for Social Impact Award at the United Nations in New York. Olivier has studied at the Universities of the Mediterranean & Cincinnati, Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. A father of two ballerinas, he is a judo black belt, loves opera and ballet. At night, he produces electronic music and DJ’s around the world. He is the founder of DJs4good, a global movement leveraging the community of DJs to support charities and social impact projects.
